Sabiana and Expo.

The Azerbaijan pavilion was one of the most admired at the Expo. The itinerary devised by the designers winds through three glass spheres on several levels, representing three different biospheres. The first represents landscapes, the second Azerbaijan’s nine climatic zones and the third represents traditional cultures and innovation. The country’s natural, agricultural and productive resources are shown on three levels, connected by escalators. The structure’s air-conditioning was not easy to install, also owing to its spherical shape. Essentially, it was required to find quite a low AHU that still had sufficient air flow and power to cool and heat the premises, which owing to the large glazed surface had a high sensitive thermal load – all that with a noiseless machine. Sabiana’s OCEAN solved these issues. 100 million Euro for improving energy efficiency in southern Italian regions

Among the types of operations that may be approved for funding we highlight the following: streamlining, improving efficiency and/or replacement of heating, air conditioning, power supply and lighting systems, even if used in processing cycles for reduction of energy consumption (e.g. building automation, low-power engines, inverter installation, systems for management and monitoring of energy consumption) The allowance that may be granted is a non-interest-bearing loan with amortisation over a period of 10 years equal to 75% of the investment programme cost: the remaining 25% must be provided by the beneficiary as own funds and/or bank debt not covered by any public subsidy. In this perspective, among the solutions in its catalogue, Sabiana promotes a series of products that comply with the requirements of the Energy efficiency Call and specifically: 1 For Companies, Warehouses, Gyms and Sports halls: replacement of the old air heaters with new ECM Air Heaters with inverter driven brushless motor that assure 50% savings in ventilation consumption 2 For the service industry (offices, hotels and residences, hospitals, shops and shopping centres) - Replacement of the old fan coils with new ECM fan coils with inverter driven brushless motor that assure up to 70% savings in ventilation consumption - Implementation of the Supervision system of Sabianet fan coil networks for daily and weekly programming and monitoring of energy consumption 3 For all applications that include Air Handling Units (AHU): - Installation of Crystall Electronic Filters with 30% reduction in ventilation consumption, increase of filtering efficiency and reduction in filter maintenance and replacement costs - Installation of fans with brushless motors with built-in inverter with a 30% reduction in power input and integrated air flow control. This is an extremely interesting opportunity also for those who need to modernise obsolete systems and may do so making use of zero-interest rate public funding, thus increasing the system's energy efficiency and reducing management costs. Contact our sales Network (http://www.sabiana.it/it/sales_world.php) to obtain clarifications on our Products’ applications. The application for the benefits and required documentation may be submitted as of 10:00 hours of 23 April 2014, through an appropriate computerised procedure accessible from the “Energy Efficiency” section of the Ministry for Economic Development’s website (www.sviluppoeconomico.gov.it). New climate at Sabiana’s

Society changes and so do we. A new logo and a new website bear witness to the dynamism that has always been our key feature. And they add to our company’s image, which has always stood for Italian quality worldwide. In an ever more globalised world, which tends to flatten technological offer and standardise production processes, the founding values of a company are its strongest distinctive feature. That is why communication becomes increasingly important, seen as the ability to tell one’s story in the best way. With utter transparency and no false modesty. That is why we have decided to fine tune the way we communicate with employees, customers, suppliers and the public in general: with all of you. The process helped us reflect on our history, our abilities, our strengths. It urged us to define what we would like to change as the times change and, conversely, what we would never give up. This process has taken us into the very core of our company’s essence. The way its founders envisioned and built it, and the way we continue seeing it – a company made by people for the people. A company at the centre of which is man. This process has led to the two novelties we would like to present: the new website and the new company logo. The logo has retained the usual characters and colours, because for us tradition is a value. But next to them, we wanted new, contemporary graphics, to express the company’s dynamism and to hint to the two natural elements underlying our work: water and air. The new website has added information and features with the aim of offering a valid, continuously updated work tool to all the people making up the Sabiana universe: customers, employees, suppliers. Two main new features stand out: firstly, a sub-menu (under the main banner) for targeted navigation, from which one may directly access all the information concerning the company and individual product ranges. Secondly, a communication and exchange area specifically designed for agents: a forum through which one may exchange information on the market, the products and work in general. Because we are convinced that exchange, sharing, having common objectives, difficulties, successes is the foundation for a strong and winning team. Because we believe that together, we will continue growing and tackling the challenges of home and foreign markets. Society changes and so do we. Opening of the new Canteen

Today Sabiana Spa, in the historic Corbetta factory, has inaugurated the new Canteen. Another mile stone after the opening of the Showroom last year, an authentic Atelier and Academy of environmental well-being where is possible to touch the latest technologies and achievements in the world of heating, conditioning, ventilation and air treatment and not only. Two training rooms, Training and Learning Room, are built to share and transfer our almost century-long expertise and experience with technicians and business partners. The new Canteen, adjacent to the exhibition and training space, presents the completion of an ambitious project dedicated to people, both external and internal to the company, putting into practice our mission and vision enclosed in the pay-off: Il Clima Amico. Designed and built according to the latest technological and design standards, with almost obsessive attention to detail and the quality of the materials involved in its realization, the Canteen  also represents a space for sharing ideas and proverbial family conviviality that Sabiana cares about.  Therefore, Sabiana never ceases to amaze and invest in the well-being of its most precious resource - people. After major investments in the production department such as the new fully automated production line of the radiant panels  Duck Strip 4.0 and the brand new powder coating department built according to the criteria of the Industry 4.0 directive,  opening of the Showroom  with the training rooms equipped with the latest audio / video technology, today we are witnessing the completion of this modernization project that we carry in our hearts. On the occasion of the various events related to the ninetieth anniversary that Sabiana organized last year, we had only one Leitmotiv: Ninety is only the beginning. Now it can be say with extreme pride that Sabiana has kept her promise, as always. But, as we said last year, 90 is just a beginning and Sabiana will continue to amaze you in the future too. To discover other projects we must wait for the next appointment on March 17th on the occasion of the MCE. Like any self-respecting Leader, Sabiana does not stop raising the bar and successfully does not stop reaching its most ambitious goals.

Polluted air in classrooms: the EU sounds the alarm. Sabiana puts forth a solution

SINPHONIE (Schools Indoor Pollution and Health: Observatory Network in Europe ) is a research project funded by the EU, concerning health, environment, transport and climate change whose final objective is to improve air quality in primary and nursery schools. Sinphonie took a snapshot of air quality in 114 schools attended by 5,175 children (264 nursery schools) and 1,223 teachers in 54 cities of 23 European countries. In Italy, the study involved six schools: two in Sicily (Palermo), two in Tuscany (Pisa) and two in Lombardy (Milan). The study found that 85% of European schoolchildren are exposed to micro fine dust at concentrations above 10 micrograms per cubic metre, average annual guidance value recommended by the WHO; half are exposed to excessive amounts of radon and a quarter to too much benzene; over 60% of children are exposed to high levels of formaldehyde and a significant presence of carbon dioxide. Breathing too many pollutants means a greater risk of suffering from respiratory conditions and certainly does not help if one already has a problem: 8% of schoolchildren suffer from asthma, 9% from nasal allergies and 17% from eczema. Children spend most of the day inside school buildings. Healthy school premises may therefore directly improve children’s health and promote learning, contributing to their development into healthy and capable adults. Installing a good air filtering system is an important step towards breathing clean air in all indoor premises where people spend a long time. Crystall is the top of the range electronic filter, able to assure good IAQ through virtually total elimination of all liquid and solid particles that pollute indoor air.
